Au-dessus du sépulcre ils élevèrent une église,
au-dessus de l’église ils élevèrent une synagogue,
au-dessus de la synagogue ils élevèrent une mosquée,
au-dessus de la mosquée ils élevèrent un hôpital,
au-dessus de l’hôpital ils élevèrent un mur,
au-dessus du mur ils élevèrent une chaussée.
Ensuite, la cité fit élever des quartiers entourés par ce mur :
le quartier chrétien, juif et musulman,
le quartier de langues classiques – le quartier latin et le quartier grec,
le quartier des nations – le quartier arménien, roumain, russe.
L’épidémie des murs continue
Et toute la population de ce monde fut prise de panique
parce que la nouvelle se propagea rapidement
à vrai dire, le sépulcre était vide.

On top of the sepulchre they built a church,

on top of the wall they built a highway.
Then, the city made districts within its walls:
the Christian, the Jewish and the Muslim districts,
the classic languages district – the Latin district and the Greek district,
the nations’ district – the Armenian, Romanian, Russian districts.
And the epidemic of walls goes on and on
and the whole population of this world was seized with panic
when hearing
that, actually speaking, the sepulchre was empty.
